Llewellyn Ryland HVD-01 Bonding Paste

HVDO1 is a pre-accelerated, filled general purpose orthophthalic non-structural bonding

paste. It has been designed for general tack-bonding and bonds that are to be

overlaminated

HVDO1 is a blue paste that exhibits a colour change to a green/grey on the addition of 1-2%

medium reactive MEKP. HVD01 gives a tough bond with a degree of flexibility whilst also

benefiting from low exotherm and low shrinkage. Whilst HVD01 has been designed for

bonding GRP/GRP it also gives good properties in bonding wood, metal and PVC. When

using HVD01 to wood, it may be necessary to pre-wet/seal some types of wood before

bonding. Llewellyn Ryland Ltd recommends that the customer carries out trials with the

HVD01 and substrate to be used to assess suitability.

HVD01 has been designed to give an adequate gel time when catalysed at 2% medium

reactive MEKP to complete most bonding requirements. Due to the high viscosity and

thiotrophy of HVD01, application can be made via various techniques including trowel, piping

bag or dispensing machine. HVD01 is not recommended for use below 16°C. Generally it is

observed that as shop floor temperature decreases, the cure of HVD01 lengthens

come in a 25KG pack
